Technically speaking, Mark Romanek's adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro's acclaimed novel Never Let Me Go is a gorgeous production. The film is impeccably acted with nuanced performances by beautiful and talented actors, including Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan and the new Spider Man, Alex Garfield. The cinematography is stunning. The screenplay is clever. And yet, the film fails to resonate the way it should.
